Military Accommodation Requests:
A military accommodation request allows student to manage their academic obligations while fulfilling their military service duties. These requests ensure students can adjust their schedules to meet course requirements despite military obligations like weekend training or brief military exercises (less than 30 days).

Process for Submitting a Military Accommodation Request:
1. Informing the Instructor(s): The student will need to notify their instructor(s) directly about the military obligation (for example, an exam conflict due to training). The Veterans Services Office (VSO) should also be included in the communication.
2. Submit the Request: The student must provide the VSO with supporting documentation of their military obligation (e.g., training orders, weekend due schedules) and should also submit the course syllabi for impacted classes.
3. After reviewing the documentation, the VSO will communicate with the student about their request and work with faculty to ensure that the accommodation allows the student to complete the course. This would involve rescheduling exams, adjusting assignment deadlines, or providing flexibility for attendance, depending on the nature of the military obligation.
4. The VSO will email the student once the accommodation is approved.
